Al Capone Does My Homework, Gennifer Choldenko

search*°•The Al Capone series doesn’t need to be read in order, only the first and second book need to be read in order•°*

This is the last book in the series.

Moose and the gang are having fun, spying on the cons, helping them to. Moose needs to help Capone, who has already gotten nat into a special school for kids with disabilities. Moose is nice, and now it is working against him flowers for Mae Capone, Al’s mom…

He needs help and has a limited time period to do it. He has to look like he is alone, not with his friends on the boat, ware Mae will be.

But there are some cons with them on Alcatraz that are up to something of their own.

Piper has found a list, not just any list, a list made by cons, and not just any list from a con, but a game, but not any game… a game that can kill, literally. And it looks something like this: And guess who the new assistant warden is; Moose’s dad…Nat is also getting really smart.

The Magic Trap (Book 4 of the Lemonade Wars Series By Jaquline Davies

The Magic Trap by Jaquline Davies is the 4th book in the Lemonade War series. The Main characters in this book are Evan and Jessie Treski. Jessie is really smart and skipped third grade. Evan is mad at her because he doesn’t  want his sister to be in his class (My guess is that if you have a sibling you wouldn’t want them in your class). I totally agree with you. Evan is a really sporty kid because he plays basketball a lot (Which is why I would recommend this book to Marlowe and all the other basketball fans). This book is in a modern time and it’s mostly in Evan and Jessie’s house. I think that it gives it a certain thing that makes an impact. (If you read it you’ll understand more).

Evan has been learning magic in his free time. One day Evan’s dad comes home and because his parents are divorced he’s mad at his dad for putting work in front of him and Jessie but he’s happy that he’s home. His mom has to go on a trip for work so his dad has to take care of him and Jessie. Evan’s dad suggests that Evan should put on a magic show and Jessie’s all over the idea and she asks if she can be the assistant. Evan isn’t sure. What will his dad do to help him with the show. But it might be upsetting to his mom.

How will this book turn out? You’ll have to find out. I loved this book because it suits my personality because Evan is a kid who’s like me. I would recommend this book to any kid in this grade because you’ll find a way to connect to it. It’s as of now a 4 book series and I recommend reading the first book and then after that you can read any of the later books. I would give this book 5 *****’s because I could connect to it.

Charlie Joe Jackson’s Guide to Extra Credit by Tommy Greenwald

Charlie Joe Jackson’s guide to extra credit is about a kid named Charlie Joe Jackson who is trying to get extra credit to avoid going to an academic summer camp. So in order for that to happen he has to get straight A’s and is allowed one B. Charlie Joe Jackson realizes that he can do so by getting extra credit in his classes that are harder. He goes to the gym teacher and asks how he can get extra credit in his class and he says… Ha, I’m not going to tell what awful thing he had to do you’ll have to read the book. And then he goes to the art teacher and does the same thing, and the art teacher says that he can by, guess what, I’m not going to tell you!

You should read the book!! I would give this book 100 out of 5 stars. Does he have to go to the awful summer camp or does he get straight A’s with one B? You’ll have to find out! I really like how Tommy Greenwald came to visit our class. It makes you think about the book in a whole different way.

LAWN BOY, by Gary Paulsen

LAWN BOY is about a 12 year old boy named _____ (yes, he doesn’t have a stated name) and his family is broke. He is intelligent and thinks he is dumb.

As a birthday present he gets his grandfather’s old 10-speed lawn mower. So, not knowing what to do does the obvious: he mows his cute little, old, not very taken care of lawn.

[The old mowing companies’ boss ran off into paradise with his new wife.] While he’s mowing his lawn his neighbor walks up to him and from across the fence asks; “you mow lawns?…”

And thats where his summer gets exiting.

His first client, a start to a boring, but still exiting summer. While he is mowing the lawn, another customer asks for him to mow his lawn and it happens again and again and again.

Then he meets Arnold, ‘a 70s hippie guy.’ A client who can’t find 35$ and, gets him a small account in the stock market and… before he knows it, he’s sponsoring his very own boxer: Joey Pow…

All of the chapters have a title that you don’t figure out why it’s called what it is called in ’till the end of the chapter

This book is a quick (88 pg.) fun, sometimes cliffhanger, and just a plainly amazing book for a plane ride or car ride that will make you think the story has just begun, so read ‘LAWN BOY returns’ if you want the rest of his story! I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

the Christmas Genie by Dan Gutman

I read the book the CHRISTMAS GENIE by Dan Gutman. The main character is Chase. The setting of my book is in the present and in a school. In the book a meteorite crashes into Mrs. Walters’ class. A genie comes out from the meteorite and Chase and his classmates get one wish! I liked the book because the ending was very surprising.  My favorite part of the book was when someone wishes for a truck full of candy! Elizabeth and Alyssa don’t want the candy because they said that you would get obese and diabetes if you ate all the candy. I recommend this book for kids who like fiction because the story is fiction and they would enjoy it. I rate this book *** stars.
