My Book Review Of  Gone-Away-Lake! ! ! ! !

 The book that I just read is called Gone Away Lake! I finished it a little while ago but now I can finally write about it!!   It is By Elizabeth Enright

The reason I liked this book is because it has  one picture per chapter. So I know what the scenes from the book look like when I need a picture in my head !    I also like this book because they describe it from the perspective of a child named Portia who is exposed to be looked at as the narrator/main character !  I also like the book because it is in the perspective of two time periods now(35 years ago)and 5,555 years ago!  Also another reason I like this book is because about five people are the feelings in the book and that one person is telling all of the people about it!  I also like that it has a bit of make believe in it!!

The plot is that there are two kid’s Portia and Julian (main characters).  The two kids find a lake in the forest and they then start to explore and have adventures in the swamp.  But they also  might meet some people or things that you would  not normally see in real life or in a swamp !!

There  are tons of interesting flashbacks and stories of that some people tell that they meet in the story !!There are lots of people you will meet in this adventure and lots of names of animals.  So if you like animals this is your book and if you are a story or surprises lover this is also your book !!

I recommend this book to you because it has laughs and screams and tells you stories that are fake but seem real.  It gives you tips about nature!!  That is why I recommend it to you to read !!!!

This is why I liked this book. It is called Gone Away Lake for you who do not remember !!  So if you like anything that I said in this book review you should check this book out because it is in the public library’s.  There are two books in the series Gone Away Lake and Return To Gone Away!!  My name is ben and this is my book review for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Book is not Good for you by Pseudonymous Bosch

This Book Is Not Good For You by Pseudonymous Bosch  is the third in the series of 5.I think is the worst out of the first 3 books in the secret series since it’s mostly about chocolate and not as exciting.The main characters are Cass (short for Cassandra), Max-Ernest and Yoji. Their job is to stop the Midnight Sun, an evil alchemist organization, who try to figure out the secret, which no one in the book knows.

 They have ended up getting kidnapped for a day, losing Cass’s mother and they have got tricked. My favorite part of the series was in the first book, which I won’t tell you so I don’t spoil it. I would recommend this book, but not before reading the first 2, to people who like adventure books. I would give this book a 3 star rating out of 5, 5 being the best since the first 2 were much better. My favorite part of the third book has something to do with Cass’s Mother missing. You want to know the ending? Too bad, I won’t tell you. You have to read the book!

There lives a fox in a hole underground. His name is Fantastic Mr. Fox. Fantastic Mr.Fox has a wife, she is called Mrs. Fox and she also has three children that are also foxes.

Every night Fantastic Mr.Fox takes a chicken, duck or turkey from one of the farmers. Then one day the three farmers named Bunce, Boggis and Bean get really angry that the Foxes are stealing their food. So one day they decide to dig the foxes out. In the middle of the night Mr.Fox heard the tractors so he woke everyone up and they all started to dig a hole into the ground very, very deep…

If you read this book you can find out more. I would recommend this book because it is a very adventurous and exciting book. I would give this a five star rating out of five stars.

The School For Good And Evil, by Soman Chainani

My book is on The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. It is about about a girl named Sophie and a girl named Agatha. In their town every four years two kids get kidnapped and put in one of two schools one for good kids one for evil kids, no one knows where the schools are. Once they finish the school they grow up and become characters in a fairy tales. Sophie has waited her full life to be kidnapped, she thinks she will go to the school for good and Agatha, who is known as a witch would go to the school for evil. Agatha and Sophie are best friends. So when they are both are kidnapped and Agatha is put in the school for good while Sophie is put in the school for evil, everything goes wrong. All Agatha wants to do is go home, while Sophie wants to be put in the school for good. The schools teach crazy things like how beautification, uglification, more things like that. Through all of the mistakes you will wonder if they can stay best friends. When they find their powers how will they survive? Most of all you will wonder if maybe there was no mistake and they were supposed  to be in those schools.

I rate this book five stars for people who just like  a little of mystery and a book that makes you think a lot.

YOU CAN’T TAKE MY PLANET, BUT TAKE MY BROTHER PLEASE, By James Mihaley

I loved the book YOU CAN’T TAKE MY PLANET, BUT TAKE MY BROTHER PLEASE by James Mihaley because I connected to it because I have a brother too. It will make you think a lot about nature. There is a boy named Giles and he gets a letter that changed everything. he meets aliens and some of them are good,but some of them are evil. He has an older brother and a younger sister. He lives in Manhattan and he loves Central Park. He loves animals so much. I think anyone would like this book because it is very funny. It is a little hard to understand at the beginning, but it comes together at the end. It is very touching throughout the story because Giles will do anything for his family. I rate this book five stars!!

Moomin Summer Madness By Tove Janson

This book is called, Moomin Summer Madness, the author of this book is named, Tove Janson. This is the fourth book in the Moomin series. Moomin Summer Madness is about these creatures that live in a special land called Moominland. There are a lot of characters like, Moomintroll, Moominmama, Moominpapa, The Snork Maiden, The Mymbles Daughter, Little My (The Mymbles Daughters, little sister), Snif, Snufkin, Misbel and, Whopher. In the book they travel all around the place to many places. First the family gets flooded and they have to find shelter so they go to a theater. All the characters split up and go to many places. Its exciting how the characters split up into different places. For example when Little My fell into a hole in the boat/theater and found herself somewhere surprising and exciting. It was also exciting when how the flood happened and how they found the theater floating on the water! My favorite part of Moomin Summer Madness was when their town (Moominvalley) was flooded and they found a cool place to stay in. It was a really exciting part because they would be moving places, places to live, why would they choose the theater? I think I would recommend this book, to a kid or adult because it is good for both and it is fun and exciting for lots of ages. I would rate Moomin Summer Madness five stars.

The Sea Of Monsters By Rick Riordan

There are two series of the books. The Sea Of Monsters  is the second book of the first series. The main characters are Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and Tyson, son of Poseidon. Tyson is a cyclops. A cyclops is a human that has one eye and is immune to fire. Percy and Annabeth are half-bloods or also called demigods. A half-blood is someone that is half human half god. They are made by a human and a god.

They move around in the book so the book isn’t happening all in one place. Percy and his friends need to go find something to heal Thalia’s tree. Thalia’s tree is a tree that protects camp half-blood. Camp half-blood is a camp for only half-bloods. Really it’s impossible for a mortal to come through to the camp unless one of the half-bloods say their first and last name and who they let into the camp. So back to saving Thalia’s tree. Thalia’s tree has been poisoned by we don’t know who. The only thing that can save Thalia’s tree is the golden fleece. The golden fleece is a fleece from a gold sheep.

I really enjoyed the book because it’s different from other books. The book is different from other books because it has a lot of action. And not a lot of books have a lot of action. My favorite part was when Tyson punched the bull smack in the face! The bull was evil. I recommend this book to people who like action I rate this book 4 ½.
