Reflection:

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

I learned about how certain schools have more police officers than others and make this kids feel uncomfortable. They government strategically targets predominantly black schools, and it makes kids scared. We also learned about how the legal system prevents self actualization. It stops black kids from using the height of their abilities, and makes it harder for them to get careers when they grow up as opposed to white kids who don’t need to deal with this as often.
