What I did and what I learned about my topic, activism, social justice work or civil and human rights work from this fieldwork?:

Our social justice group met with Donna Dees over zoom and talked about a variety of subjects within gun violence including the prevalence of gun violence in some states vs others. Specifically the fact that Gun violence is not very prevalent in New York. This may lead our group to switch to a more broad topic of gun violence in the US. We also learned more details about Ethan law and the importance of safely stored firearms. We also learned that she believes people should be allowed to own a gun but they should lock it up and be careful. She also told us about a documentary she’s making about how the UK banned guns from citizen access. Overall we were very lucky to be able to interview her,
