Our Interview With The Athletes Mental Health Foundation.

Her son was the first person who made sure that mental health was an issue people were aware of. we also learned that it’s not always diagnosed issues that athletes fall with, it’s also just anxiety and stress that people have. adding onto that, apparently as an athlete, it’s really important to mentally prepare yourself for the situation at hand. breathing right and taking care of your body play big roles. some athletes even do yoga to calm the mind and get the body right, meditation is highly encouraged by athletes’ mental health counselors. a lot of schools have started implementing these counselors to help athletes get through these blocks and over these plagues. before this was a relevant issue the coach would try to ignore mental health because of what it would do to the school name, but as of now, they have changed their ways.
