Type of Fieldwork: Research in-person

What I did and what I learned about my topic, activism, social justice work or civil and human rights work from this fieldwork?: We watched a video on how the community Coneceptos Plasticos turned plastic into a brick like material and built a school to help children learn. This shows how people can take two problems and solve them by coming together as a community. I learned that when working together people can change everyday plastic waste into something useful. I also learned that even just normal people can help and even me by just picking up waste near beaches. This is a good concept because one idea for fieldwork would be to be hands on and pick up scraps. Humans can come together and as people fix prominent problems that can be harmful for people.
