What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
We interviewed her before focusing specifically on the movie industry, but we learned some really interesting things. She talked to us about how this one time she sent a professional work email to her boss, and he emailed her back calling her a “resourceful minx”. She also told us about how social media didn’t really affect her because it wasn’t really around during her adolescence.
