What I did and what I learned about my topic, activism, social justice work or civil and human rights work from this fieldwork?[:: :

We had an interview with Jennifer Bombardier. Jennifer is the education manager at the Lower East Side Ecology Center. The LES Ecology Center is an organization that works to take care of the ecosystems and overall nature in NYC. They talk a lot about urban sustainability.  We learned about the major effects and sources of water pollution and she gave us a list of organizations that we could either schedule an interview with or find an opportunity to do fieldwork. I think that this was a very successful interview and now we have other people that we could meet with to learn even more about our topic.

We are now going to use Jennifer’s advice and talk to someone from The Billion Oyster Project. We are hoping to schedule in-person fieldwork with them. I think that our interview with Jennifer was exactly what we needed. She had answers to all of our questions and we got a lot of new information that we didn’t get from previous interviews.
