What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

Julie talked about how her film festival is a non-profit and she had hired a man to try and raise money, thinking that he would be more capable. She also told us about how there is only one man on her core team of 12. “I always say that if you want something done, you go to women of color”
