What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
In the United Kingdom, abortion is considered a personal choice and is free and safe on the National Health Service. Women are also offered counseling afterward. The pro-life advocates who reach out to “troll” her online and criticize her as “supporting the murder of babies” are predominantly female. According to Zoe “Language is loaded and weighty when we’re talking about abortion.”
