We had a phone call with her and she was telling us about her job and the NFL’s mission.

What I learned:

I learned that Play 60 is a program that helps kids be active for 60 minutes a day so that today’s youth stay in shape. I also learned that Inspire Change, the NFL’s new charity, is focusing on funding, marketing, and public policy for social justice foundations and the NFL.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

Through the fieldwork, I learned that Crucial Catch, the NFL’s cancer charity, is working to spread awareness to the world. I learned that the Player’s Coalition, which is led by Malcolm Jenkins, Safety for the Philadelphia Eagles and former NFL player Anquan Boldin is a non-profit organization working with the NFL to achieve social justice.
