What I did:

Our group worked on finding articles for the organization Stop Hang Gun Violence. We had to find articles on gun violence and gun control article topics.

What I learned:

We learned that people need to be educated on gun violence so they know that it is a big problem in the US. The reason we were finding articles was to raise awareness about the problems guns have in this country. People need to know why it is such a problem in the US.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

I learned that for people to learn about important issues in the world you need to raise awareness. Raising awareness can help people learn about the cause and why we need to take action. The more awareness you raise the better it is for the topic. And the more people you get it will raise even more awareness.
