We went to PS 98 for an event called DEER. When we got there we figured out that the event was canceled. We then asked what to do, we were sent to the library to help out in the school. We walked into a class where they were only speaking Spanish. The same was for the people that we were working with. Only a few of them spoke English. The person we were mainly working with spoke only one word of English. That word was “five.” It was a very fun experience for me. It was fun because we had to see if we were doing what she told us correctly. We had to organize the books in the library. These books were all sorts of grade levels — books on dinosaurs to Dr. Suess books. This was a good experience for me. I think that it would be hard to be English speaking in that school.
