Interview with Coe Booth December 16th

My group and I was very lucky to be able to interview Coe Booth. Mrs. Booth is a writer but she used to help child abuse victims. She would go into homes and help the children. She relived the experiences with us and you could really feel for these kids. These kids were not just abused but put into homes where it seemed like they were the parents. This experience inspired Coe to write a book about it. She wrote the book Tyrell which is about a kid who was a mean older brother and he must help his mom and dad get through the day either working or helping out around the house. I think that this was a great experience for my group to hear about what really goes on in these terrible homes.

My name is Jared, and I am an 8th grader at Little Red School House in New York City. I am a member of the Child Abuse prevention program. I choose this took because I feel that kids should be entitled to a harm free child hood.
