On January 20th my social justice group Volunteered with a night food van at Coalition for the Homeless. We arrived at 6:30 and handed out food in the Bronx until 9:30. There were very few people because it was Martin Luther King’s birthday. We handed out sandwiches, oranges, milk, orange juice, and little chocolates. Because there were so few people, we gave out two or three of everything to every person. The experience was really rewarding and I hope to do it regularly in the future.
