Interview with David Winter

On the 26th of November our war and violence group of three will be going to the intrepid museum. David Winter is part of a fund called the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The funds purpose is to raise enough money to build facilities that specialize in common diseases found in veterans such as PTSD. Their estimated goal was 100 million dollars and they currently have only 34 million dollars. We are thrilled to Interview David and will learn a lot about what we can do to help. Please help us donate so we can make these facilities into a reality and help the people that risked their lives for our country.

I am an 8th grader at LREI and I am very intrested in helping out our American troops. My fascination in helping the vets started when my grandfather who also happened to serve, informed me that veterans weren't receiving adaquite health care. This truly upset me and made me wonder why our country was doing this. I think vets should not have to go to private hospitals and pay for the things they need to excel such as prostheses and physical rehab. I am now not just trying to raise money, but awareness. Please help my group and I by emailing your friends and donating when the opportunity comes to you. You can reach the group by contacting our private email - LREIWV2014@gmail.com
