Playing Squash At Street Squash!

On February 22nd, my group and I went to Street Squash an organization that tutors and teaches squash to children from 6th to 12th grade. My group sat in on a sixth grade class to see how it worked. They were reading a popular book, City of Embers. It is about a slightly corrupt society that lives under ground with huge lights to keep it light. During a world war they sent everyone down for safety. In this class they were learning some vocabulary and noticing descriptive words. We were able to help by pitching in our ideas. It seemed like a very good educational class. It probably helped a lot for these children that could not afford a great education. The second half of the days was playing squash. It was a great experience that helped impoverished these children stay active and in shape. It was also a lot of fun for me and the children. This was a fantastic experience and I think that it is great that children who cannot afford great things can go to places like this to have fun, stay active, and get a better education.
