Interview with Marianna Houston, founder of ITLP (International Theatre and Literacy Project)

On December 3rd my group and I interviewed Marianna Houston, founder of ITLP (International Theater and Literacy Project). She explained to us many interesting things about good ways and not as good ways to make a difference. If you go over to a impoverished society and give out hundreds of dollars maybe people will get some food and it will be good but in a couple weeks it will be just the same as before. A good way to make a difference is to talk to leaders, make laws, teach impoverished children something that will stick with them, and things like this that will help someone or a society in the long term.

This was from our fieldwork previously, with Marianna Houston the founder of ITLP (International Theatre Literacy Project). This organization goes to many different places around the world and teaches teens like ourselves how to deal with different situations through acting.
