11/16/16, Moisés Kaufman Speaking, LGBTQ

On Wednesday, November 16th, my group went to the Speaker Series at the EI High School. We were very excited when we first heard about it because Moisés Kaufman was going to be the one speaking. He is the writer of The Laramie Project. He talked about theatres’ roll in the modern day. He talked a lot about The Laramie Project as well because the high school had just done a production of that the last week. We made a list of 10 questions we wanted to ask him. They were mostly about The Laramie Project and the writing process. It was really interesting listening to him speak. After the lecture was over, we went into the Alumni Room. L.J. Had planned with us for a private interview with Moisés. We were really lucky to be able to go meet with him. We asked the rest of our questions to him. He was really nice in answering all of them. He gave us some amazing words; he told us that when we do our workshop, we might help some people feel comfortable to come out. So it was really inspiring listening to him talk. It was amazing!
