This Changes Everything Screening at Patagonia

On Wednesday, November 11 my group and I went to a screening of a movie called “This Changes Everything” we met at the school at 5:45pm and walked to the Patagonia store in SoHo. We arrived at the store at about 6:00pm where people were already taking their seats. We sat down when a man asked us about what we were doing, he also said that he was glad that young people like us are getting involved. Anthony Rogers was on the panel and he talked for a while. He talked about other climate change organizations such as synergy, ResistAIM, south Bronx unite and the Sierra club. We are planning to go the a rally about coal hosted by the Sierra club at the steps of city hall. The movie about a woman who’s ancestors burial ground were going to be turned into a factory. The women demanded to enter and she knew her rights and that she could enter because it was a public park. The security guard didn’t let her enter. The movie showed ways to stand up to climate change and what we can do. Anthony Rogers also talked about shutting down fresh direct because their trucks run on diesel and are polluting air in the south Bronx. In a part of the south Bronx 1 out of 4 kids have asthma. Most of those kids don’t even know why they have asthma.
