We interviewed the founder of Million Mom March, Donna Dees. Million Mom March was one of the largest protests against gun violence in US history. It was held on Mothers Day, May 14, 2000 in the Washington DC National Mall by the organization to call for more strict gun control. It reached a population of about a million. She is currently still organizing, celebrating, and immortalizing women. We learned that 76% of school shooters get their firearms from family, or home, gun violence has gone down since the Million Mom March, and it helped get state laws passed.
