What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
We learned about all the ways the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation has supported sports activism and has helped children play sports. He told us about the different ways athletes speak out and how they aren’t all huge actions. Another thing he told us about was what speaking out in sports was like in COVID-19, and how its in some ways easier and harder.
