What I did:

We interviewed Max about his experience in the military. We also asked him to come to our teach-in to talk to the kids.

What I learned:

We learned that health care and education are the two main benefits that veterans want the most. We also learned that it is difficult for many veterans to access these.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

We learned that there isn’t a lot of justice for veterans trying to access their benefits. It can take a very long time.
