The book I read is are Are You There God Its Me Margaret by, Judy Blume. This book was about a girl named Margaret who moved from New York City to the suburbs. And meets a girl named Nancy who is in the same class as her Mr. Benedict’s Sixth Grade. The end up being friends. Nancy also stared a club called the PTs’s which stands for Pre Teen Sensations. If I had to give the book a rating it would be five stars.

The book I have read is Who Was Steve Jobs? by Pam Pollack. The name of the series is Who Was _______? Steve was the creator of Apple which is a brand of technology. Steve didn’t create things like tablets, phones, computers or MP3 players. He improved them. For example an phone was a small flip phone and instead of a touch screen like we have you would press buttons to call and email people. What Steve did was make it with a touch screen. On this new phone you play games, listen to music, email, text, call, use a map basically anything a computer could do back then. Steve’s goal was to improve and update technology. Steve lived from 1955 – 2011.
A big event that happened in 1997 was when Steve returned to Apple from when he was fired in 1985. That was important because he became more successful after his return. Another big event is when Steve’s introduced the Macintosh computer to the world. That is a big event because after that Apple got a little more popular. I thought it was weird and interesting how Steve didn’t wear shoes to meetings because he thought that it was a good way to express he he was.
Steve was funny because, like I said he doesn’t wear shoes to meetings. He is also funny because he says a lot of jokes. Steve is also smart because he knows how to code technology. And he can build a bunch of different electronics. And he is always creative because he made more fashionable and daily use electronics. And where very cool blazers. Steven said “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful , that’s what matters to me.
I enjoyed learning all the facts about Steve and hearing about his life. I recommend this book if you’re into electronics, coding, creativity and technology. I rate this book 4 and and half stars.
The book I read over winter break was Freaky Friday, by Mary Rodgers. The main character in this book is Annabelle Andrews. Annable is 13 years old has brown hair and brown eyes. The problem in the story is that one night Annable and her mom get in a big fight about freedom. So the next morning when Annable woke up she was in her mom’s body, her mom’s room and her mom’s clothes. The story takes place mostly in their house.
The fight Annable and her mom had was a big bad one. It was about everything food, clothes freedom, electronics, school, and more. Annable said that it was not fair that she could not eat marshmallows for breakfast. That’s when the whole fight started. Later on in the story, Annable loses her son (little brother) and she calls the police. In the beginning of the book, I didn’t think that anything crazy would happen like life’s switching but it happened and when it happened it turned the book into a whole different story.
Annable Andrews is brave, nice, and awesome. Annabel is brave because when she found out that she was her mom, she didn’t panic she was excited to be a mom. Annable is nice because she cares for her children (siblings).
I really enjoyed the book, because I love all of the Freaky Friday books, stories, and movies. I also really enjoyed the book, because I always wondered what it would be like for a child to be a parent. If you liked the movie Freaky Friday you’re also going to like this book. I rate this book 4 and a half stars, because it is a fun, short, easy book to read and it’s a really good book.
The name of the book I have read is The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling. The main characters are John Midas, Susan, Mrs. Midas, Mr. Midas and Miss Plimsole. One day, John Midas was walking and he saw a chocolate store. He went inside and bought a big box of chocolate. When he got home, he opened it and it was only one piece of chocolate. He ate it and he said it was the best chocolate he ever had. It was creamy, sweet, rich and very chocolatey. Now, anything that touched his mouth turned to chocolate. Even his trumpet turned to chocolate when he played it. The Chocolate Touch takes place in John Midas’s house and in his school.
There are a few very important things that happened in this book. Like when John brushes his teeth, his toothpaste tasted like chocolate. Also when John kissed his mom she turned to chocolate and could not move. There are quite a few things that changed what was happening in the story. Like when John ate something it immediately turned to chocolate. And when John plays the trumpet, it turns to chocolate and his whole music class saw they freaked out and were in shock . John is very scared for example when John’s trumpet turned to chocolate he ran right out of the classroom before even telling his teacher he was leaving. John was impolite and polite at the same time for example when John ran home from school and went to his mom’s friend’s house to get the keys to get into his house his mom asked him to say hi to all of her mom’s friends and John said hello and ran home.
I really enjoyed the book because I love chocolate. I also really enjoyed the book because it was a very short easy read. But if you don’t like chocolate I would not recommend this book because you won’t be able to make as many connections, so you might not understand the book as well. I rate this book 4 and a half stars because it is one of the best books I have ever read in my life.
