Camp Jupiter, CA-  Breaking News! A couple of days ago in Seward, Alaska, on top of Hubbard Glacier, Percy Jackson, Hazel Levesque, and Frank Zhang all battled the giant Alcyoneus (the anti-Pluto, Hazel’s father). Their goal is to find the Roman Demigod Legion’s lost eagle (their symbol of power), which has been missing since the 1980’s. They all venture to Alaska, which is beyond the Ancient Roman Gods source of power and help. Hazel and Frank’s parents are Roman Gods, Percy’s godly parent is Greek.

“It was kinda scary,” said Hazel. “It was my first big battle, since I had been dead for 70 years. I didn’t know if I was going to die again or not.”

Frank’s lifeline is tied to a piece of magical firewood. He was cursed as a baby by Juno (the goddess of marriage and family life). The wood can set on fire whenever he wants it to.

Percy is probably the best and most powerful demigod to ever be born in America. He is a son of Poseidon and can make hurricanes, storm surges, and make any type of water do what he wants.

Hazel should not be alive. She is a daughter of Pluto (a.k.a Hades) who died in 1941 and was snuck out of the underworld by Nico DiAngelo, her step-brother, who is a son of Hades. She also has a special power, she can summon any type of metal, stone, or jewel just by concentrating. She can also make them do whatever she wants, like make it fly 30 miles away.

“Hazel has some pretty awesome powers. Once in Seattle, she was able to explode a silver jewelry crate, and make two enemies hang upside down from their ankles on a railing that was two stories high with just a flick of her hand!” said Percy.

Alcyoneus had also captured Thanatos, the god of Death, which meant that nobody could die as long as he was chained up. Thanatos said, “Only the flames of Life can burn through chains of Death.” Frank had to use his own firewood to burn through the chains and that almost killed him. Thankfully, he survived.

While Frank was burning his life away with the chains and firewood (literally), Percy and Hazel fought the enemies.   Percy sliced through lines of ghost soldiers that were trying to get to Frank and kill him, as a hurricane formed around Percy. Alcyoneus was immortal in his home territory, so they knocked him out, dragged him on a thirty-five foot long sled all the way to Canada.

“I have to say, Alcyoneus was a pretty lame fighter,” said Frank. “I mean, fifteen minutes and he was knocked out 3 times. And as he was getting up, I changed form to a grizzly bear and charged. He just got up and yelled a war cry and as I charged him, he fell back down and got knocked out again and Hazel killed him. How stupid is that?”

After they killed Alcyoneus, they all rode back to Camp Jupiter (the Roman demigod headquarters) on Arion and their sled, and prepared for another battle.

Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal by Dan Middleton

It was reported last night that, in a game called Minecraft, Denton is trying to rule the world with the power of the crystal! Dan and his friends (Trayaurus he is a scientist, Grim Dans dog and the 3 Pigs one can talk) are going to try to stop him. This happened because “aliens dropped the crystal down to earth.” At least that’s what Trayaurus said.

Denton with the power of the crystal made a clone of himself. The more crystals he got the more power he got and his clones got bigger.

When Dan and Grim were looking for the parts of the crystal they ran into Denton. He had Trayaurus and the others and was putting them in jail. Dan went to go free his friends. When he got to Denton’s lab he snuck to the jails and used his sword  

On the Banks Of Plum Creak By Laura Ingals Wilder

MISSISSIPPI Laura, Merry, Pa and Ma were a family of four. They moved to the banks of plum creek a month ago. The family moved because so many Indians were starting a war. They came to Mississippi in a wagon with two horses. In the wagon there was a bed, food, and valuable things.

Laura and Merry would sit in the bed and play hand games and watch what what was happening outside. Pa and Ma would go to the front of the wagon and drive the horses. The ride took one to two months.

When they arrived they didn’t make a new house, instead they traded. The family found a house and knocked on the door. A man came out of the house and said, “What are you doing here?” Pa replied, “Are you willing to trade houses?” The man said, “Yes, where is your house?” Ma said, “On the prairie.” The man said, “Okay”.

The next day Pa helped the man pack up his wagon and hitched up the horses. Then the family started to settle in. Pa and  Ma got all their belongings and brought them in the house. Merry and Laura picked there room, then got their belongings and settled in.

Merry and Laura would go outside and pick sun warmed plums from the plum trees. Day after day Merry and Laura would pick plums,  play outside and do chores in the Prairie.

Constance ran away last night!  Her birth certificate was lost and she was devastated because she wanted to be adopted, but needed her birth certificate for that.  She ran away because she got mad about her birth certificate situation.  Constance slipped through the gates to run away and the guard let her.  Lost in thought Constance ran to nowhere!  She just ran!  A guard in Constance’s house was found to be a spy and things got crazy.  Search parties went out to find Constance while others went out to fight Mr. Curtain, the  owner of the spies.

Constance’s birth certificate was lost.  A friend, Sticky, accidentally told Constance that the library burned down.  The library was her hiding place for her birth certificate.  When she heard that Constance said, “But… Without those papers…” and ran out of the room.  

After that, some friends saw her in the dining room.  Constance then asked Number Two, Rhonda, Mr. Pressius, Milligan, Mrs. Plugg, Mrs. Washington, Mr. Washington, Mrs. Perumal, and Mr. Bane if she could go outside.  “Yes,” they said as a group.  Mr. Bane watched Constance go outside and did not stop her when she slipped through the gate and ran away.

Mr. Bane is a guard at the house where Constance lived and is discovered to be a spy.  Mr. Benedict said, “I knew he was a spy.  I just wanted to see the outcome.”  Mr. Bane allowed Mr. Curtain and his Ten Men into the premises.  Mr. Curtain is Mr. Bane’s boss and the Ten Men are other employees.  There are thousands of Ten Men.  They are called Ten Men because they have ten ways of killing a person.

Constance slipped through the gate and ran away from home because she lost her birth certificate.  Mr. Bane turned out to be an enemy.  Her friends went out to search for her.  She and her friends are in danger.

NYC-At 1:00 this afternoon the parents of eleven- year- old Olive Dunwoody called 911. They claimed their daughter was missing. They had no proof that she wasn’t hiding or just at their neighbor’s house but either way they called the police.

When the police got to their street which is Linden Street they searched the whole house including the “rather creepy basement,” the officers said. They found no trace of Olive in fact barely any trace of anyone ever being in any of the rooms other than their bedrooms, bathrooms and the library. The only exception was the guest room with lavender wallpaper where they found an open drawer with lace, hair clips and more old and fancy clothing.

One police officer who was sent to search in Olive’s bedroom was walking down the second floor hallway admiring the paintings. “When I got to the last painting right in front of the bedroom door I had to stop because I saw something moving in the painting that looked like a girl I knew right away it was Olive,” the officer said.

“Now we know why no one could find her because she was stuck in a painting and no one ever thinks to check in paintings,” says the officer. “She fell in the the painting and no one knows how she got in or how we are going to get her out so if you know anything about the history of the house please let us know,” said the chief.

Right now the police do not have any idea how to get this girl out but like the officer said you can help if you know any history of the house or the paintings. Also to donate money to help the police department get more equipment for research please go to police.help.more.help.com
