TRIMESTER 2 PROJECT UPDATE:

In trimester 2 we decided on a brand name and drafted a couple potential logos. The process of coming up with a name was an extremely long one. We drafted nearly two pages of names, and then narrowed it down to one final name. We decided on “listening party”. Our final goal is to become more than a clothing brand and maybe create music associated with the brand as well. Currently in Trimester 3 we are redesigning our logo, we understand that the success of our brand is very dependent on it. While we continue we will be working very closely alongside Charlie’s parents, who are graphic designers themselves. Down below we have attached some potential ideas for our logo.

Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?

Students at LREI, often spend large amounts of money on clothing to gain social status. We would like to create an exclusive yet affordable brand. This project will serve as an outlet for creativity while also giving us the practice to run and maintain a business, two things that Charlie and I believe will be valuable in our adult lives.

Critical thinking, creativity, citizenship and courage are essential LREI learning values. Explain how you’ll draw on at least one of these values to complete your proposed project?

This project will serve as an outlet for creativity, drawing designs for our clothing collections.

What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project? How do you plan to share your learnings with the larger LREI community (e.g., exhibit of work, poster of learnings, performance, etc.)?

To demonstrate we have created a successful brand we will 1) have a logo (either text-based or graphic based), and have the first collection of clothing ranging from hoodies to t-shirts that incorporate our logo.

Please provide a general outline that indicates your work plan for the trimester? What are some of the key project benchmarks (i.e., goals that will help to ensure that you finish the project)?

Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?

Creating a brand and designing streetwear that is both affordable and appealing as well as designing website. We see this as an opportunity to learn more about design, telling a story and website development.

Critical thinking, creativity, citizenship and courage are essential LREI learning values. Explain how you’ll draw on at least one of these values to complete your proposed project?

We are going to use creativity in the our designs.

What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project? How do you plan to share your learnings with the larger LREI community (e.g., exhibit of work, poster of learnings, performance, etc.)?

By the end of this trimester we want to have fished all of the website development and have some designs finished as well as a few sales of the products, to show completion we will show these things. We also plan for our website to be a portfolio of sorts for our work and that would be how the people around us could access it.

Please provide a general outline that indicates your work plan for the trimester? What are some of the key project benchmarks (i.e., goals that will help to ensure that you finish the project)?

Naming, Designing Logo, Creating Website for selling and sharing our designs and products, creating the products themselves and then hopefully continuing this the project out side of it being for a honors project.

When do you plan on meeting?
In X blocks and outside of school.
