Warriors: The Darkest Hour

I read the sixth book of The Warriors series. It is called the darkest hour. I liked it so much I made a diorama of it. There are a lot of awesome scenes, but I thought this is the most important. I really wanted to show how I imagine the ThunderClan camp looking. I could have also done the scene when Firestar receives his nine lives in Mother Mouth but I did not want to because it would be too hard to make and it would take a really long time. My scene is when Firestar is preparing ThunderClan to get ready to attack BloodClan and to get ready to join the other clans to join together to make LionClan vs BloodClan. I hope you like my diorama. Firestar is on top of the rock and his deputy is on the left side and is gray and his name is Graystripe. Firestar’s girlfriend Sandstorm is next to Graystripe. Cloudtail and Brightheart are next to the little cave next to the rock. The other cats are just random.

I read the second best book in the world, it is called Into the Wild by Erin Hunter. Into the Wild is part of the series Warriors. The book is about a kittypet (a house cat) called Rusty. Rusty lives in a house right next to the woods. One day Rusty goes into the woods and gets attacked by some ThunderClan warriors (wild cats) who ask Rusty if he wants to be part of the ThunderClan. The rest of the book is about Rusty’s life living as a ThunderClan cat. The book takes place in the ThunderClan camp in the woods. The book always makes me feel like I am with Rusty on one his adventures.

 

Rusty does not always keep his name He is also known as Firepaw. If I were to describe Firepaw with three adjectives, they would be: brave, sneaky and smart. I think Firepaw is brave because he always tries to protect his clan and he always wants to help keep the clan alive by catching prey or fighting in battles. Firepaw is sneaky because he does not always follow the warrior code and does not always do what he is told. I think Firepaw is smart because he knows how to attack in different ways on different cats. The problem in the story is that the ThunderClan cats think the ShadowClan cats are going to attack. An interesting and important part of the book is the beginning of the book when Firepaw goes out in the woods and gets attacked. Firepaw gets attacked by ThunderClan cats who surprisingly offer him to join the ThunderClan. The only reason they asked this question is because the ThunderClan needs more warriors. Another interesting and important part of the book is when Firepaw fights the loner cat Yellowfang and breaks warrior code. Firepaw was hunting for food for the clan, and after the fight with Yellowfang he saw she was very hungry and he was very hungry so he caught a rabbit and gave it to Yellowfang and he ate the scraps. The first rule in warrior code is always feed the clan before feeding yourself.

I really liked this book and the writing style . I like it because it is about cats and I love cats. I also liked this book because the story is really interesting.  I was so into this book a soccer ball flew over my head while I reading the book and I didn’t notice. The characters are also really fun. I would recommend this book to whoever likes cats and is okay with a lot of dying. Like I said this book is really good and whenever I read about the cats it makes me want to cuddle with my own cats. All people who like Harry Potter and also like cats should read this book. There are other cat warrior books but they are not part of the series. There are also other books in this series that I have not read. I rate this book five stars!

Dork Diaries Tales From A Not So Popular Party Girl by Rachel Renee Russell

Dork Diaries 2 Book Review

 

The book I read for this book review is book2. This book is about a girl named Nicky Maxwell who goes to a middle school called Westchester County Day, which Nikki calls WCD. The school is having a halloween dance which is basically the center of the story.

If I were to describe Nicky with three adjectives, number one would be “dorky.” Nicky is dorky because she always calls herself a dork so you have to assume that she is a dork. Another adjective that describes her is   “funny” because Nicky makes people fill out an information sheet to use the bathroom in the library. The final adjective that describes her is “unlucky” because the bully of WCD stole Nicky’s duffle bag with all her stuff in it, and left Nicky wearing a stinky rat costume. How unlucky is that? An interesting and important part of the book is when Nikki is supposed to be in three places at once. At the same time she has to wear three different costumes at each place. I think it is interesting that Nicky thinks that it is fun to work in the library even though other kids think that is boring. In the library Nicky likes to: ride on book carts, read all the books and magazines, and give people an information sheet if they need to go to the bathroom.

I enjoyed Dork Diaries  a lot because this book is funny and it made me laugh. I also really like the pictures; this book is not a picture book but it does have drawing/pictures because you are reading Nikki’s diary, and Nikki really loves to draw and she is really good at drawing, so she draws a lot. I would recommend this book to people who like when characters from books break the fourth wall. I would also recommend this book because it gives you tips about life like, don’t do this or do not do that. I guess that this book is similar to Diary Of A Wimpy Kid because this book is someone’s diary (but I am not sure because I have never read Diary Of  a Wimpy Kid.) The other books in this series are also similar to this book (this is the second book in the series so I recommend reading the first book first.) I give this book 4 ¾ stars because nothing is better than Harry Potter..

Out of My Mind by Sharon M Draper

The book that this book review is about is called Out of My Mind, it is by Sharon M Draper. In this book there is only one MAIN character, and her name is Melody. The main problem is that Melody cannot walk or talk, and that means she is in a wheelchair, and she cannot eat by herself so she needs to be fed, and she is in 5th grade! Most of the story takes place in Melody’s house, her neighbor’s house or the school that Melody goes to. But the actual state is Ohio, and the time is  the present.

If I were to describe Melody with three adjectives they would be, one smart. I say this because when Melody was 5 she went to the doctor to take a test to see if she could go to school. when she took the test she got more right answers than I would have, but she can’t talk! I also think that Melody is funny because she makes people laugh a lot. I also think that Melody is kind. Melody only has one friend, Rose and she is always really nice to her. Most of Melody’s problems are at school. One of the most interesting things that happens in this book is, when Melody finds a way to talk. Another interesting part was, when I saw the cover(the cover has a fish jumping out of a fish bowl and thought How does this have to do with anything? I think that the direction of the story does change, because Melody decides to take a test to be part of her school’s quiz team but I don’t want to give away the ending.

I really liked this book because I think that it is really interesting. But I don’t like this book because Melody’s sister almost gets killed, but I am not going to tell you how or when, I am just telling you Penny almost dies.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction books because this book is realistic fiction. My class is reading the book Wonder. I think the book Out of My Mind is a lot similar to the book Wonder. I rate this book five stars

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

The book that I am reading is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J. K. Rowling. The main characters are Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The problem in my book is people are getting petrified and the Chamber of Secrets has opened, which has not been opened in 60 years. The book takes place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the time is the present.

Harry Potter is going back to Hogwarts for his 2nd year, but before he goes back a house elf named Dobby comes to warn Harry not to go back to Hogwarts. When Harry tries to get on platform 9 ¾ Dobby does not let Harry, so him and Ron take a flying car to Hogwarts and almost get killed by a tree. Later on, a girl gets taken into the Chamber of Secrets; they know that because there is a blood message on the wall telling everyone. Harry and Ron go to the chamber to save the girl and take the stupid teacher with them. he is stupid because he thinks he is so great, but he is the worst wizard in the world!  I am not going to give away the end; you have to read the book!

I loved the book because it is awesome! No, I am still not going to give away the ending! I think Gilderoy Lockhart is a very funny git. I think Dobby is also very funny and awesome at the same time. I would recommend this series to everyone because it is by the best author in the world. All the books teach you something. What I learned was that I really like Harry Potter . You can choose what you learned from the book. I rate this book five stars!
