The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

freyablog Soldier Drops Dead After Asking For Help To Write A Letter

SPOILER ALERT- My review reveals spoilers from my book, so if you  haven’t read the book yet and want the book to be a surprise DO NOT read this.

An import event from my book is when Ada is helping soldiers that came back from fighting and one of the soldier asks, “Can you write me a letter?”. Then Ada goes and gets the materials to write the letter but when she comes back the soldier is dead lying on the ground. I think this event is important because it shows how life was during World War Two.

  1. When I first saw this book, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, but it turns out that this is in my top ten of all time. What else did you learn about life during the war?

  2. I love this book. I did my second book review on this book. It was a sad part of the book. I don’t think Ada would have liked that part without Daisy.
