Nate eats a fortune cookie and his fortune says: “You will surpass all others today.” So, he tries to surpass all others but instead, he receives seven detentions and THAT is where he surpasses all others. Nate tries very hard to surpass all others, but he ends up insulting his teachers and fails each time. His friends tease him and they aren’t really his friends anymore.
I read The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. I think the most important part of the book is when the Greeks meet the Romans because it did or didn’t start a war between the Greeks and Romans. I also think that was important because it’s what starts the prophecy to save the world from the earth goddess Gaea waking. The book is full of action, fantasy,secrets and mystery. The book is part of a series and the series is the best series I’ve ever read: The Heroes of Olympus.
An important event in the book I’m reading(Holes) is probably when Stanley Yelnats tells the people/ people at his camp that the “crime” that he committed was by “stealing” a shoe. Stanley said that he was just walking down the street and a shoe just flew into his hand and apparently the shoe belonged to a very famous baseball player that was being given to a homeless shelter. The reason he ended up in the prison camp is because if you were in court it would be a pretty unbelievable if you said that the shoe flew into your hand. So he was considered guilty and went to the prison camp. It is a very good book, I would really recommend it.
Percy and Carter fight an epic battle.
Percy and Carter fought a crocodile that was a Sobek. I thought that was important because Percy and Carter meet for the first time. Percy is always active and loves to make jokes. Carter is smart not funny and always fast on his feet. They fight but then become friends.
Soldier Drops Dead After Asking For Help To Write A Letter
SPOILER ALERT- My review reveals spoilers from my book, so if you haven’t read the book yet and want the book to be a surprise DO NOT read this.
An import event from my book is when Ada is helping soldiers that came back from fighting and one of the soldier asks, “Can you write me a letter?”. Then Ada goes and gets the materials to write the letter but when she comes back the soldier is dead lying on the ground. I think this event is important because it shows how life was during World War Two.

Beast Purposing To Beauty
An important event from my book is when the Beauty lied to the Beast so she could get away from him, because she did NOT want to marry him. The lie was, “I must leave because my father is sick”. This is important because the only way the Beast can change back into a real boy is if he gets a kiss from her. She does not know that the beast is a very handsome prince under all that ugly ness.

An important event that happened was when the wolves were running through a man riding a horse. While this was happening the horse was walking slowly even though the rider was scared. This scene was important because the rider’s life was at risk and the horse stayed calm which made him be alive.
Parents Kidnapped, Kids Save the Day
The kidds are riding away from the kidnappers and they have the treasure.
In the book Treasure Hunters Secret of the Forbidden City, the bad guy in the book (A German criminal) has kidnapped the Kidd families’ mom, and their dad might be dead. The Kidd family are treasure hunters and the mom and dad are CIA agents. The kidnappers are trying to get the treasure map to find the treasure, which is valuable artwork, and that is why they kidnap the mom. They hold the mom for ransom, the treasure. The Kidd’s dad said the Kidd kids need to find his treasure map to save their mom. The kids, 2 girls and 2 boys, spend the whole book trying to find the map and that is basically what the book is about. They will get their mom back if they find the map.
An important part in this book is at the end when the Kidd kids defeat the kidnappers and are reunited with their mom and dad on their boat in Germany. The kids have a different plan. Instead of finding the map for the kidnappers, they use their dad’s clues to find the actual treasure so the kidnappers can’t have it, which is what they really want. The kidnappers chase them to a river in Germany where they the kids see their parents boat. Then the kids see the kidnappers heading towards their parents. It is a suspenseful scene where the kids go into the water and push one of the kidnappers off the edge of a waterfall. The reader doesn’t know if they bad guys will win and take their parents again or if the kids will get their parents back. It is important because the book is about them finding their parents and finally they found their parents.
Harry taking potions class in for N.E.W.T.s with his new teacher professor Slughorn.
Harry is allowed to keep going in potions so he can become an auror in N.E.W.T.s. That means he will be better trained at defending himself and fighting against the dark arts. In order to become an auror you need to take potions and defense against the dark arts. It is important that Harry becomes an auror because he will be will be trying to fight and defeat Lord Voldemort soon and he needs to be prepared for it. This year Harry has a new potions teacher, professor Slughorn. Usually professor Snape teaches potions but Snape left potions to go teach defense against the dark arts which he has been longing to teach. Harry did not think he would be able to continue potions in N.E.W.T.s because he did not get the acceptable grades to continue potions the year before in O.W.L.s. N.E.W.T.s happen in your 6th year.
Kids have killed a cyclops and have saved a kid.
An important event that happened was when Piper, Percy and Jason saved Nico from dying. It was also important when they killed two cyclops named Odis and Elphites. This was important because Nico knows a lot about how to kill monsters and he knows all this because he is a son of Hades.
