death of a young man

How to MURDER young men in the desert.

Step one, go with a group, not just individually.

Step two, use a car(s).

Step three, listen to this:

It’s to dark, I think. They will be able to see us no doubt, but we have our jeeps so they can’t run. Suddenly I hear shouts. Two people fighting. We see some people leave with camels out into the desert, but straight a head we see a young man who must be around 18 or so. He holds a gun. After three or so seconds he fires. I am to drunk to fire back, so one of my men does it for me. Next thing I know blood is everywhere. Two men come and put up the now dead young man and put him in the house, but we need to leave. We can’t get caught with this much evidence.

Good Luck and Bad Luck

Want a new way to get money in the desert? Listen to this:

This road is to bumpy, I think. It will be hard to shoot if necessary. I feel my luck today is way too low. I haven’t even seen Hamir or Murad the two farm boys yet. They should be out by now. And I see them, but that’s not them. Those two are girls, what luck I have today. I tell my men to get out of the Car and walk up the stream. The first girl starts heading back to the house, we will need to be quick to get her, but the second girl is beautiful, we should use her instead. My gang hasn’t seen her yet, until one says,

“That one!” pointing to the older more beautiful girl.

“Yes,” I say. “The one who bags the most quails gets that one.” My gang laughs. We will use her for bribing the land. Everyone will want it, but we will need to pay her a higher price.

highlights from Spring Break

Something that was important that I did This spring break was protesting in the Healthcare march. This is important to me because I believe that Healthcare is one of the most important things besides global warming, so I wore a bright pink pinny that said “Vaccines Are SAFE And Help Save Lives.” On the back it said, “Every 20 seconds a child dies from a disease that could be prevented by a Vaccine.” There was supposed to be 1,000+ people marching, but there was only about 300. We were a bit late so we just went straight to central park, where the march was supposed to stop, there it was more like a rally. The march started at Trump Tower, and ended at Central Park. I was there for only about 45 minutes to 1 hour. It was just my mom and I, because everyone ether just woke up or to tired to go, and my dad had to stay with my sisters. It started at about 11:30, it ended at around 1:00.

  • A reservoir is an artificial lake where water is stored. Most of them were river built with dams to keep the water in. During droughts, or extended dry periods, the water level in a river may be very low. Under these conditions, more water is released from the reservoir so farmers can water their crops and homes and businesses can function normally.
  • The average reservoir can hold up to 550 million gallons of water
  • Ashokan reservoir at full capacity can hold 122.9 billion gallons
  • The Ashokan reservoir was placed into service in 1915
  • The Ashokan reservoir was made by damming the Esopus Creek

The two mountains by the Ashokan reservoir are Slide Mountain and  another  mountain we could not find the name of.

People said before it was build it could never hold enough water. They were Wrong.  But once it was filled from 1912-1914 they found out they were wrong.  People who lived by the ashokan reservoir were not happy about the idea.

First, the mist evaporates from water than it goes into clouds. Next the clouds rain and snow on mountains, and create streams. Those streams come together and create a river. The river would enter a reservoir. When the water is in the reservoir, it goes into aqueducts and tunnels. After three miles, the aqueducts and tunnels lead to the Kensico reservoir. In the Kensico reservoir water is treated with fluoride and UV lights. Two tunnels come out of the Kensico, there was going to be a third, but mayor De Blasio canceled the construction. The two tunnels then lead to Yonkers, where they combine into one tunnel. Next, the tunnel splits into pipes and into houses.

My Artist Statement

I would like to name this work of art self portrait line. I created this work of art by graph self portraits. Then I used different techniques to color in four of my graph self portraits. When I created my self portrait line I learned that I should take more time on projects and not just go through the hard to make projects, but to take time so it could get perfected. My favorite graph self portrait that I made was the oil pastel one. I liked it because it was fun to mix the different shades together. If I could change something about it, it would be the watercolor because the red for my mouth sped. While making it I was surprised that the colored pencil blender worked so well. Something else I want to share about this artwork is all of my drawings came out differently and I tried to hide it with the different techniques.

My Knight Monologue

“You can do this Alexander, you can do this”, I think in my head. I can get through this day. I have waited all my life for this, It was my only choice. Now I need to pray again. Here it goes, Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.  Ghegijidjfjkdl, my stomach growls.

I don’t need food, I don’t need food. Food is not my biggest worry. I wish that this day would end because I am on fast. What will happen to me when I’m a knight? Will I go out to war and never see my family again? Will I have to stay in chivalry? What will happen? “STOP WORRYING!” I yell out loud. Someone comes up to me and asks, “Is everything alright?”

“Yes I am fine,” I say back to him. I guess I’ll have to pray again. Dear father, I pray to you that you help me control my fear. I need someone to calm me down, please help me. Amen.

morning news: food

Kids 11 and up should have no more than 25g of sugar a DAY, according to the American Heart Association. That means most treats like chocolate milk or ice cream should be a once a week or biweekly treat. However, natural sugar from fruit is okay.

My Memoir

I love being in my car because it is like a second home for me. If you put a bed and food in it, I could live there. Every time I hop in the car I feel an adventure coming. When my family and I are going on a trip, it makes it ten times better. The thing that is better about my car, is that you can see the buildings passing by out the window. My car is a grey Toyota.

One time my Dad, Jane, and I went to Martha’s Vineyard. The trip was seven hours of sitting in the car, I loved it. When we got to the ferry terminal they said that our boat was not arriving until tomorrow. As much as I loved Martha’s Vineyard I also was happy that we got more time in the car.

If I could do anything again, I would do my spring break car trip. It might be the most fun thing I have ever done with my family. It was so long that I can not remember all the details but my favorite part was Nashville.

It was two in the afternoon and I just got back from Dollywood. We were headed for Nashville. It was a long and nice drive, when we finally got there it was about six o’clock southern time. We check into our hotel and were going to the grocery store. When we were in my car, we said we just wanted grapes. Although when we got there my dad said that we should get a little more food. So I went of to the chips section, but my mom did not let me have any. So I went with my dad down an aisle and something spotted my eye. It was a pack of Jell-O. I knew that I was not going to be able to get it but I had an idea. I left my dad saying “I am going to mom.” I turned the corner and waited. Later I got the Jell-O and said to dad, “ Mom said she waited this Jell-O.” pointing to the box in my hand. Dad said okay and my plan worked. When we got back I told them what I did. Fortunately I didn’t get in trouble. Getting lunch in Nashville is like saying, catch a wild boar in the middle of New York City. We drove in a bunch of circles for a while until we found this place that was supposed to be the best Nashville fried chicken, Hattie B’s hot chicken was the name. I had to stay in my car (I wanted to do that) and sit with my dog Walter. The final time was somewhere in between 3-4 hours. So I got to play ten games of Life and beat my high score in Flappy Bird. It was fun to look out the window at the block long line, it felt like I was at home until my dad got take out, and we got it in no time. We drove to a park, it was nice to see a new city with the building shorter than New York. I felt like I was at home, I wanted to stay in the car, but I was not allowed to so I came with them. The chicken was worth it when I took a bite out of my wing. I got level one for spice but I wish I got level three. I tried my Dad’s and when the spice went into my mouth, I felt like I ruled the world. I slurped up my lemonade and finished off my chicken. We got back into the car and drove back to our hotel. We relaxed for a while then went to dinner. My dad saw his friend that he hadn’t seen since college (his friend didn’t know it was my dad). After we went to the new Grand Ole Opry. It was from 7:00 – 8:30. At one point I got so bored that I fell asleep on my mom’s lap. My favorite part was the car ride there because, the driver finish every sentence with a song from his phone. The next day we set off for Memphis.

That was the best part of my spring break, but not the driving part. The last two days were non-stop driving back to New York from Alabama. I played a lot of Pocket Frogs, on the ipad, but mostly looked out the window. We stopped for food in a bunch of places, but my favorite was a place called Flora-Bama, on the border of Florida and Alabama. However cool my trip was, it was so much better driving.
