Lately, I haven’t found Portfolio Post Tuesday very exciting. I feel like it’s been losing it’s fun vibe that it used to have. I think that they have the potential to be fun, but now, they feel kind of boring.

Trip To Canada
Over break, we took a trip to Canada for French. On that trip, I was introduced to maple taffy. Maple taffy is made by a very simple process. You boil maple syrup to 235 degrees and then pour it on snow. You then wait for 10-12 seconds and take a popsicle stick and roll it. It tastes really good and I hope I can do it in the U.S.A.
Studying
I think that Quizlet is a very useful tool. Quizlet is a tool that is very useful when studying for a test because you can master any test subject in a matter of minutes which I find to be a very useful thing so I can do well on my tests.
Something I Learned Part 3
Something that I learned was that you aren’t always good at everything that you do. I learned this because our basketball team has been playing very badly so I realized that we aren’t the best basketball team to ever cross the face of the universe. (But we’re God damn close).

Here is my cinquain. We learned about them and immediately, I wanted to write one. They are so broad, so many ways that I could choose to go. There are many types of cinquains. The format that I chose to use was by the type of word used. A Cinquain is a five line poem that follows a rough structure. There are many different structures though. Here is the one that I used:
The Cinquain Format That I used
Line 1: 1 noun
Line 2: 2 adjectives
Line 3: 3 -ing words
Line 4: 1 phrase
Line 5: Another word for the noun
This is not a Haiku though. Remember that a Haiku is 5 syllables in the 1st line, 7 in the next and 5 again in the last. A Haiku also most of the time will contain a kigo, which portrays a specific season.
It took some time to put thought into this cinquain. It might not seem like it because there are few words in the poem. I wrote this poem line by line. It was hard getting the right word because it had to be descriptive and a specific type of word.

These are some of the things that we worked on in our first meeting at our guilds. They are faces made of balsa foam.
