Fez On A Map

When I started this project, I made a grid drawing of Fez. I had a picture of him and I tried to make a hand drawn copy of it. After doing that, I transferred that drawing onto the map, making the project you see here. Something that I learned while creating the project was that it is VERY hard to draw a dog. My favorite part of my project is the shading. I like how it is dark on the left, but lighter as you go right. If I could change something about this project, I would change how much time we have because I think that I could’ve added some more to the project. It was really fun to draw Fez because when I started, he wasn’t here, and when I ended he was. It really changed my perspective when drawing him.

My idea is to draw my dog, Fez on Manhattan. I’m going to color him in and I think that that will have a cool effect because of the color that is already on the map. The strategy that I’m using to draw Fez is grid drawings. I chose this medium because drawing is something that I want to work on. I have had some practice with the grid drawing technique. We had a project on grid drawings and for guilds, I used a lot of grid drawings. Grid drawings are helpful because you can find certain places on the subject of drawing easily. If I have time, I might make Fez on a 3D platform.
