4 things I hate about NYC

1. I hate the trash people leave in the tracks of the subway. People think it is okay to litter but it is so annoying.

2. I hate that the taxi cab drivers are so bad at driving. they could get in to crashes. They are never careful, and I hate that so much in NYC.

3. I hate how people are rude to waitress. I see people order there food and then they are rude. The costumers never say please and thank you and it is just so mean, and annoying.

4. I hate that people are walking and texting. It is very annoying because you can be walking and then someone in front of you is texting… It is so annoying.

I dislike all of these things about NYC and I want to improve them as much as I can

Bounce

A Emma Hirsch Story

“Get Him!” I say as I am jumping up and down, playing dodgeball. This is Bounce, it is Huge; It has almost 15 trampolines there.  I was turning 10. It was my birthday and all I could think about was getting home and opening up presents. I jump in the air and scream, “Get her out!” It is one of those moments when it feels like you are in slow motion, but your not, and then I feel it. The ball slapped my skin, I fall on the ground (Again it feels like slow mo.) The game is now over. Some people are going “YEAH! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.” But some people are saying, “We lost again?! Come on play better” I was on the team saying “YEAH! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.” I love dodgeball. We start a new game and I get so excited when I hear the new teams….BOYS VERSUS GIRLS!!!!! I get so excited! I know we will most likely lose but It will still be super fun. The ref starts handing out balls. I get one, and get ready for 321 GO! I run up to the line as fast as I can and try to throw the ball. My arm goes back and the ball is in my hand. My arm is like a slingshot and the ball is like Angry Birds. I let go. The ball fly’s out of my hand. My first shot, only 40 seconds into the game and already 5 girls are out. I throw the ball and it does not hit anyone. I throw another one. nothing! I can’t hit anyone! Finally every girl is out except for me. I get ready and let go. It hit someone but he didn’t get out. No one was paying attention accept for me and him, so no one could call him out. I was going to tell him he was out but right then I felt it. The ball hit me. I was annoyed. It was unfair but it did not really matter. He came over to me and gave me a high five and said, “Good game!” My mom said, “Good game!” Everyone said Good Game. The game was over but we were moving to a different place. Everyone split up. Some people went to the regular trampoline and some people went to basketball. I went to basketball. I was waiting in line. Waiting and waiting. It was getting pretty boring and then finally, my turn came. I got the ball and ran. I felt like I was running into a cloud. I ran as fast as I can and then jumped. I bent my knees and reached my arms up. I let go of the ball. I felt like I was flying. I made the shot. I jumped up and down and fell on my back. I wanted to go again; So I got back in line and waited for my turn again. I kept on going. I did not move on to another place until the party was over.
