I chose to do jazz because my dad listens to jazz, so sometimes I listen with him.  I started listening more and researching and it sounded so good and I thought it would be fun to play and make jazz. It was fun researching my style because a lot of info came up. Jazz is really popular so it was easy to research on. I learned a lot about my style. I learned about the drum beat/ That is a really important part, and it was fun to play an learn about. I also learned a lot about Duke Ellington. He was a famous jazz musician. I have had some challenges with making my piece sound jazzy. Once I got my drum beat and base line then it sounded like jazz. it was hard for me to get the base linE but it got easier. Now I’ve got a jazzy piece!
