I am starting to get close to the end of building this neck i used a saw rasp to get the neck to first the right thickness then to the right shape. I used a few different techniques for rounding out the neck. I started by bisecting the neck into quarters and creating flat spots between the lines to start to round out the neck, i then used spokespeople and scrapers to round out the neck.
That’s so cool! I love how many different techniques and tools you used to get the neck to look and feel precisely how you want it to. I’m excited to see what it looks like when you finish building it!
Timur, so far you’ve used a variety of tools to shape the neck. Are there any commonalities that you’ve discovered in how you are using these tools? What tools feel naturally easier to use? Why is this? Which ones seem to require more work to master?
