Above is the monologue that is currently the beginning of the play/collection of scenes I have written. I started this week by compelling all the work I had so far into an outline. Once I did this is became easier to see where I needed to fill in still and what needed editing. I also made it clear which videos I had to return to so that I could have transcripts of moments I didn’t know I would want to include earlier in the process.
In cohort this week I read through the whole piece once and certain scenes a second time. This helped me continued to edit and adjust as I finished a first draft. Now with the exception of a few small scenes that I still need to add to/finish I have a very rough but complete first draft.
I look forward to hearing/reading the entire piece. I also think that your recording on Wednesday is going to prompt some further thoughts/challenges which will affect how you want to present. Excited to hear how it turns out!
