The technique I am working on in this photo is cross hatching. I filled in these six square by making the first hatch diagonally, and then the second hatches are lines the other way. It was hard to stay inside the individual boxes, but I later erased the stray lines.

Map Art
Making map art is very fun. I am almost done with my piece. All I need to do is glue a building onto my map. The main component of my piece is foam core. I cut out the Manhattan section of my map and glued it to foam core. I built my buildings out of foam core. It is very useful because it makes a good base, and is very sturdy when stacked. I am color coding my map and buildings based on places I go and places I do not.
My Map Project As Of 6/10
I am really enjoying my map project. I am doing the hardest part first (making the buildings). I am headed in the right direction and I know where I am going. The feedback I got today was very helpful (for the most part). I am done with the buildings, so now I can incorporate the map.
Geometry Art
I did not like this project. It was not fun, and I got cut with an X-Acto knife.
Fabric Collage
This is my favorite piece of work in art ever. I love the materials that we work with, and my idea has been executed nicely.
3rd Quarter Art
Right now, we are working on paper mosaics. We took an outline and colored it in. Then we cut it out with an exacto knife and we are going to put it together again in a different way.
Art-Wire Sculptures
My wire sculptures are of me kicking a soccer ball. I think that I did very well, and I am happy with the final product.
