Product/Object/Something Redesign

Miles and I redesigned a bathroom. Lets take a tour of our innovation.

Overview: This is a birds eye view of our bathroom. Can you see anything different or out of the ordinary? Screen Shot 2014-12-16 at 6.33.05 PMScreen Shot 2014-12-16 at 6.35.50 PMThis is our sink. It is just a sink. The pole is an invisable thing that cannot be touched or seen, but it can brush you teeth, do you hair and get you dressed.

App Review: Monument Valley

Monument Valley is a geometrical wonderland. And yes, it is a game. It also costs. $3.99. When I say geometrical wonderland, I mean it. The structures defy the laws of physics, and it is just amazing.

–> This picture gives you a sense of what I am talking about. If there were the movement blocks, you could turn it and walk up the side of the “triangle” that is facing you.images-1

Screen Shot 2014-12-16 at 6.06.51 PMimgresSo you are Ida, a princess from a long gone geometrical kingdom. Some boys about there may have stopped reading this because I mentioned princess, but that doesn’t really affect the game at all. You travel though many levels of bright, and vibrant levels filled with excitement sweat, and tears. It is suspenseful, challenging and perplexing game. I can guarantee that even a genius would get stuck at least once. A few other cool things about the game are that it is a RED game. RED games are games that support the RED fund, which supports the global fight for a generation free of aids. It is also a game of the year.

I hope you try the game out, and that you love it as much as you do.images

Four things I Hate About Living in NYC

  1. Litter. Litter in Ny is pretty bad. It is dirty and unsanitary, it is annoying and against the law, and it is pollution.
  2. Homelessness. I always hat when I see people on the streets. It makes me feel horrible, and extremely fortunate. It is so sad that people have to beg and collect garbage for a living.
  3. Rats & Pigeons. It’s not the ones that look like mice, but the ones that look like cats or small dogs. People can say that they are clean, but in NY, there are dirty. Very dirty. They also are not afraid of humans anymore. It is almost like they are evolving. Pigeon are just annoying.
  4. Tourists. Oh my god, that is the Empire State Building. Cool, I see it every day. Fanny packs. People will just want to steal you stuff more. Snap. Click. Pictures. Two or three are good, but 1000 of each thing? Seriously.

CHEESE!

For the homework planners, the group I was in had some pretty unique ideas. The idea I’m writing about is cheese. We want the planner to be shaped like cheese ( a cartoon cheese), with Jerry from Tom and Jerry sticking his head out. Every 3 days a different kid is pictured nibbling on the cheese. The inside would have the word cloud that Claire made.

ELECTRIC SQUEEZE!!!!!!!!!!!!

15026094998_9d60e3174d_q 15026101497_f18632cce2_qAt Ashokan we had a  chance of making it into the archives. The way we would get in would be completing a task, and that task was the electric squeeze. We were a new division, 80+  students.

We got to have a practice, eyes open, just to get a feel of what it would be like. Let me tell you something, it was NOTHING WHAT PRACTICE WAS LIKE. We failed the first one, one way, in a circle. All of the kids were so nervous, having no idea which way it would go. We messed up, but had a few more tries on harder ones.

We got them all, but on the 3rd one, me, Miles, and Eli got way more squeezes then we should have. Miles got 6, I got 5  instead of three,  and Eli got 4 instead of 3. We each realized something was wrong so we each didn’t pass 1 on. Apparently, we fixed the issue and we won, and it was so exciting!
