Week 1 post 2 (posted later)

essential question: How can I explain the importance of personal style in an eco-friendly manner while simultaneously experimenting with my own?

Last week I got all my materials. I found all my scraps and all of the shirts and all of the old clothes I am going to use. I already have some ideas for mending. Here are three ideas!

I wore this old tie with a dress and it looked super cute, however, I spilled something on it. For my first sewing project, I am going to sewing over the stain! I am going to hand sew this.

This will be visible mending. People visibly mend/sew to be part of the movement against fast fashion. Essentially, when you visibly mend, you are telling the world that you shouldn’t throw away clothes when they “break”, but instead, you should change them!

The other project I am excited about is changing this dress and this romper. I am unsure exactly how, but I am excited!

I am also going to use these scraps as patches! Here is a picture of all the scraps!

I am going to tailor these shorts to fit me!
