Critical Reflection #5: Metacognition – Tibeau Ferguson

Over this course, I learned that when it comes to doing projects that I feel fully invested and intrigued in, I will lose my idea of time while working on them. Time will pass without me thinking about it. I have also learned that taking a large portion of time to finish something is harder than having a smaller set amount of time to finish something. I personally like having less time because if I have a longer time, I will drift off and lose track of what I am supposed to be focusing on.

Not only do I now know that making a book is really hard, but having to design it and curate it is very hard. I think I may have underestimated it at the beginning of the project, but now I have a better appreciation for it and have learned that it’s not an easy task. It is not about doing it right the first time, it’s about trying something different and looking at all you’re options.
