I’ve written many times about the sort of split nature of my essential question so I’ll spare you the definitions and just get right into it.

In terms of research there’s definitely an answer forming, but it’s not taking the form that I originally thought it would. I guess it was to be expected, but more so than concrete answers I’m noticing trends in approaches. This isn’t a bad thing, it’s made me much more interested in the field. I think the research I’ve done has given me a door into what’s out there, and honestly I’m good with that. 

The design portion has taught me a lot more about myself than the research portion. The research portion gave me a picture of something beyond myself while the design portion gave me a snapshot of my own habits, as well as where I’m at in terms of knowledge. In a way, that part of the question has morphed into a broader one of my preparedness for the future if that makes sense. I see where my habits have fallen short and where they’ve helped, but this project has given me a bit of confidence in my process. With a little bit of structure apparently I can get through half a textbook in 6 weeks. Obviously I have no way of comparison but that can’t be too bad.
