What have you discovered about your process, your habits?

Now, what do you know you don’t know? Circle back to your essential question.

Throughout the Senior Project process, I think I’ve really noticed some things about my writing habits and my work ethic. Near the beginning of Senior Project, I found it hard to consistently make myself write every day and spent a lot of the SP hours reading or doing research because I just couldn’t make myself write. I have always loved to write for my own pleasure, and when I come up with a unique story and am not presented with a hard deadline I find it incredibly easy to write and write and write because it genuinely something I’m interested in. When I write for school, I usually put it off for a while before it becomes absolutely necessary, and then I find it easy to write because I’m so stressed that I have to. But now, as Senior Project and quarantine have dragged on, I write because I have literally nothing else to do.

Now I write because writing this story is the only thing that’s keeping me sane during the day, and I think that that’s what’s making it more interesting. Even though I’m stuck in this house, imagining what it would be like in a worse situation makes me not only feel lucky to be in the situation I’m in, but also keeps me entertained.

I think most parts of my essential question have been answered. Reading Anna’s pieces next to mine has really helped me. I think I’d like to dive deeper into what I’ve discovered with Anna to see if we can discover more about the differences in stories together.
