For my third week of senior project studies, I focused more on the making music aspect of my project because I had less work to do for my internship. After being suggested by Tom Murphy and Pierre Reindeer to watch a documentary about the Beastie Boys, I did, and I enjoyed it. The documentary was a good watch, and it taught be quite a bit about the rap group, and how they made it in the industry. After watching this doc, I was motivated to start making more music than before and I started to work on two new songs that same day. Throughout the week I have been working on these two songs. While I have been working on them, I have been watching tutorials on YouTube on how to better use Logic Pro, so that I can start making the songs sound more professional. By the end of the third week, I finished a new song called “Nightmare.” I decided I really liked this song and wanted to do something more with it, so I decided to shoot a music video for it with Ari El Gharsi. We shot the video around my neighborhood over the course of two days, and Ari took the footage back to his house to edit it. The video is now complete and I am currently deciding when to release the song and video. Overall, this was another productive week, and I am happy I got to see my friend Ari during these crazy times.
