What is the process of writing a song like for a beginner?

Because of quarantine, I’ve been at home speaking french 24/7with my family and speaking absolutely no english has gotten me tongue tied. As I was doing this simple exercise in creative writing, I got really frustrated because I had the words in french but couldn’t translate them for whatever reason. All I had to do was describe chewing gum, and I was thinking of the word sticky in french, “gluant”, but just could not make it out. It was one of those very small moments that made me realize quarantine is affecting a lot of small things in our daily lives that we aren’t necessarily aware of. This made me realize I should embrace the french language and write one of my songs in french. I thought this would be a nice way to incorporate my first language into this project and personalize it a little more. I think this demonstrates grit because I am using what was a challenge as a strength.
