During my project my essential question is being answered but I’m also answering very different questions. However, through my books you can definitely see the affects communism and the cultural revolution had on science fiction and communism. The clearest way I can see affects of communism is though the constant talk of communism and the cultural revolution in the book. Moreover, one of the main affects of the cultural revolution is during the first book, as a big portion of it set during the cultural revolution. In fact the only reasons aliens were contacted in the first place, was because of a scientist working at a top secret base during the cultural revolution who accidentally contacts aliens with a radar meant to steal information transmitted through US satellites. Moreover, a really interesting place to see the affects of the Chinese Communism is while they play the 3body video game, the Chaotic eras are meant to symbolize China’s chaotic  history with communism and how times like the cultural revolution have stopped Chinas progression.
