One of the challenges I’ve faced so far is finding the motivation to learn Twi for four hours everyday. While I enjoy learning languages, doing it for four hours everyday has gotten boring pretty quickly. One thing that I’ve been thinking about is diversifying the way that I’m learning Twi. On most days, I use a website called learnakan.com and a Twi textbook. However, finding other ways to learn Twi can spice things up a bit, and make the learning process more enjoyable. Learning and speaking with others can help as well. 

I’ve started conducting interviews to learn about the connection between language and culture and it’s been an interesting process. I really have to think about the way that I phrase the questions to get answers that are helpful in my exploration of language and culture. I’ve also realized how effective personal anecdotes can be. They reveal a lot more than one would think they do.
