What I did:
My group and I participated in a training to be an ally to immigrants in the legal system.
What I learned:
This fieldwork touched upon an aspect of immigration we hadn’t quite touched upon yet. We learned a lot about the detension centers, the court system and how our legal system takes advantage of immigrants.

When deported the immigrants are held in detension centers before relocated into the country. The detension centers jail cells basicle have the same amount of room as a dog kenel.
