Early in November our group met with Kim Russel, a representative from the Brady Campaign. We talked about various things. We interviewed Kim Russel about her work with the Brady Campaign. We talked about laws and we learned about what the Brady Campaign does and how we could make an impact. We learned that it is more likely for your toddler to kill you with your own gun than for intruder or terrorist. People who do not lock up their guns properly, do not understand the consequences until the unfortunate result . This is a problem because this is why there are so many deaths by guns each year. Also people who attempt suicide without guns and fail, most of them do not try again, but with guns they do not get a second chance. Overall our interview was a great success and we learned many new things.  Kim Russel started her work at the Brady Campaign because she was shot in the shoulder and the shooter killed her friend. This struck her and she thought she needed to make a difference.
