Curriculum Night

Dear Families,

Curriculum Nights are already just around the corner. Please mark your calendars for these two important evenings.

Fours-First Grade Curriculum Night – Sept 24, 6-8pm
Second – Fourth Grades Curriculum Night – October 1, 6-8pm

Teachers are so looking forward to meeting parents on Curriculum Night.  They have been putting much thought into the presentations they will share with you.  While one evening is never enough time for a teacher to convey the whole school year’s many wonderful components, it is a great start to an ongoing conversation between home and school.  Communication between parents and teachers is an important LREI value and getting to know your child’s teacher better is a perfect first step. (If you have questions or information you would like to share about your child in particular, we encourage you to make an appointment with your child’s teacher at a separate time, as there just isn’t enough time on Curriculum Night).

Teachers hope to share with you the major features of their programs that make their grade levels special, as well as the tone for learning and community-building that they have been setting with their students.  You will also enjoy seeing the materials and atmosphere of the classroom, meeting a few specialists that teach your children, and seeing each other as well.

The only things missing from Curriculum Night are the students!  (Childcare information for those evenings is in the Information section below).  We wish you could be a fly on the wall during the many special moments that occur all day long.  Below are some snapshots from this week to help you picture the students’ experiences as the teachers are speaking to you at Curriculum Night.

Warmly,
Namita
