Space to Create: What new environments might we design to bring creative confidence spaces to life?

You can find additional info on these pages on the OpenIDEO site:

What if we had a wall where you can draw and  paint and write ideas, in the hallway above the staircase.

Summary (Required):

Concept Description (Required):

In this challenge, we want to create ideas with young people, not for them. Outline how you’re planning to involve young people or other end-users (parents, teachers, etc) in designing, iterating or testing your idea during the Ideas phase. Be sure to report back throughout the Ideas phase with updates, too!

How might you envision your idea spreading across geographies or cultures so that it inspires young people around the world to cultivate their creative confidence?

What skills, input or guidance would you like to receive from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea further? Hint: this could be graphic design support, prototyping advice, financial/cost guidance – whatever you think you need to make your idea stronger and better poised for impact. And if you’ve got skills that might further someone else’s idea – reach out to them via the comments section.

What if . . .

We had a giant drawing and painting board where you could show creativity?

We made a club of some sort like . . . a book club, comic club, or maybe a drawing club?

We made a wall where you could write some ideas?

There was a way in the city to get in touch with nature? Nature is beautiful.

We had a school with glass walls?

We had drawing pads for everyone?

We built a giant workspace that had giant paper so kids could express themselves?

–At one time it could be presented in an assembly?

We made a special event and you could create new stuff and draw?

We made a blog for all artists?

Once a month we made a drawing or painting or something off of a specific subject?

We had one class that was all about sketching on certain subject that was not art but more like social studies and art combined?

–We could have teachers develop a whole new curriculum devoted to learning, while drawing?

We had a camp maybe for sketching and drawing and it helps then to be more creative?

We had a festival or maybe a small holiday for creative rights?

We had a special community and they go to schools and talk about creative rights?
